Libertarians don't really care about colour and creed. It's serving the wealthy that they're interested in. Of course, they can't tell that to their base....

Sad but true. I can't believe voters will be suckered into voting for Reform, but if US voters can re-elect Trump, I guess anything, however horrendous, is possible.
You have to remember that the good citizens of Stratford also voted for him... and he was a favoured member of the tory party whilst apparently not sharing his views with the rest of them ...
I remember when the Tories were elected a friend saying ,"Wow it's the most diverse cabinet ever,' to which I responded, 'Pity they're all sociopaths.' That seems to be the major qualification needed now for the marginalised to rise to the top in politics in UK, Europe or the US - Mamdani being an exception.
Haven’t seen AAV for ages here on Substack. Not sure if it’s something to do with ‘algorithms’ or whatever, or whether you decided to take a well-earned break, but in any case it’s great to have you back.

To paraphrase Mrs Meton - ‘what first attracted you to multi-millionaire… ‘
All these ex-Tories defecting to Reform - it really has become a party full of defects.
