It's all part of the plan for friend of fossil fuel Farage to take over being the puppet of US interests aka the British Prime Minister. https://jowaller.substack.com/p/farage-has-done-so-well-out-of-the

'a Putin-crony like Mandelson' - you don't think that's going a bit far, Tom? Like - wildly over the top? Like - completely untrue?

I won't blame Starmer though-I will blame the utter stupidity of our brainless electorate if Farage wins. We had the greatest welfare state in the world after WW2-'cradle to grave'.- Courtesy of a true Labour Leader-Bevan. The Tories were apoplectic-they wanted a cowed and bidable populace they could exploit in the workplace. Somehow-they got them to vote Tory- and our fantastic welfare system crumbles to dust in front of our eyes-even today. Don't fall for the lie "we can't afford it". The country has plenty of money-but it goes to corrupt Oligiarchs and a useless Royal Family. The ignorance of our own populace is our greatest enemy. The free education of our old welfare state was meant to help people make better choices. That's why the Tories had to destroy it. Farage fools his followers-and they are too thick to see what he's doing. His lies about the EU were just his training ground.

This is all happening because the mainstream media “left” parties all over the world betrayed and insulted their supporters. The rise of fascism has been 100% midwifed by liberalism. The only way out of it now is to burn all centrists at the stake so that we can get back to having some actual politics. I will blame Starmer, it’s his fault, and his faction.

Tory Plan B ie Blair and Brown's New Labour were just as bad- with unworkable waiting list targets leading to layers and layers of managers employed to fudge the numbers instead of paying for more doctors and nurses.

It really doesn't matter who we vote for- the US based oligarchs of fossil fuels, animal ag, pharma, tech, AI, media, finance, surveillance, sex and drug trafficking, gambling, porn and arms control the government either before or after they're elected- these interests decide what the UK can and can't do.

Pretty sure they've decided its going to be Farage next though. I watched how the 'covid' debacle (and gender ideology) created dissenters (who wouldn't be one?- it was mad) who were targeted with climate crisis denial and migrant bashing. The majority were very foolish and feel for it hook, line and sinker. They think they've seen through it all and are opposing the establishment by Raising the Colours! All the while the establishment are stripping their economy, supporting genocides and trashing the planet.

AAV -- slightly off-topic (but not quite) please do a piece on Morgan McSweeney's role in all this and his malign influence on Starmer's Labour Party. Thanks -- and keep up the good work.

I don’t think it’s in the least off-topic. The two are close friends and I wonder if part of the reason Starmer appointed Mandelson is that he’s politically clueless and relies on the odious McSweeny for guidance.

Oh boy - can we please stop using + perpetuating these mainstream bloody labels like 'centre, right, left' and focus Instead on what makes people vote the way they do - or refuse to vote at all. It's essentially a result of how egocentric, wealthy, affluent, poor and consistently morally responsible and informed the population is - and the power of the mainstream media especially TV and local / national radio broadcasters. Sadly though, if you're geopolitically highly-informed, morally consistent and know the media for what it is there's no party worth voting for anyway - especially since most Labour and Tory voters/politicians don't want or even talk about (real) Proportional Representation of the Single Transferable Vote kind.

Why STV-based PR works so comparatively well in Ireland really needs to be closely analysed - and many vital lessons learned and applied.

What's a "centrist" when you have five or six or more political parties to choose from and are no longer being wilfully disenfranchised by an ever more self-preserving and identical duopoly ?

Not sure why you're having a pop at Putin? Putin is the only adult in the room. NATO's expansion was a deliberate ploy to provoke and destabilize Russia, break it up and get access to resources dirt cheap; it's failed, not Putin's fault.

It was the Guardian political columnist’s and leader writers who for a decade were spouting the old “Corbyn, has he really got what it takes to be a Prime Minister? You could have the adult in the room, Keir Starmer!” Look where that’s got them. Labour’s vast majority should keep a general election in the distance, but Starmer?

I'm a centrist dad and I gave up on Starmer a year ago! 😅
