US aid drops for Gaza are just a sick PR stunt
What's the point of the US air dropping a tiny bit of aid for starving civilians when they continue to arm the Israelis, and continue blocking international efforts to get them to stop the genocide?

The eyes of the entire world are watching the United States’ racist puppet state commit genocide in Gaza, including the US electorate.
Last week’s flour massacre - where Israel used aid trucks as bait to massacre starving civilians - was one of their most obscene and horrifying war crimes yet, and still the US persists in backing Israel’s atrocities.
This unyielding support for Israel’s war crimes, no matter how depraved they get, isn’t playing well with crucial demographics the Democrats will need to mobilise if they intend to actually win the upcoming election. Social-liberals, the left, humanitarians, and the United States’ not insignificant Muslim population of around 3.5 million are aghast at the atrocities Joe Biden is so intent on supporting.
They want their government to cut off arms supplies to Israel; stop obstructing international efforts to bring the genocide to an end by vetoing ceasefire motions at the UN; and ensure deliveries of sufficient food and medical supplies to relieve Gaza’s starving and brutalised civilian population.
100,000+ uncommitted votes in the Michigan Democratic primary was a clear demonstration of mass discontent with Biden’s genocide complicity, and Biden’s team have clearly figured that they need to pretend to be doing something.
The idea of dropping a few thousand meals worth of food aid to a starving population of 2.4 million is absurd enough in its own right, but the wider context demonstrates exactly how ridiculous it is.
The US continues bankrolling the Israeli state and supplying it with the weapons it’s using to collectively punish Palestinian civilians.
Who on earth is dim enough to believe that 38,000 meals worth of food aid is sufficient to offset £17.6 billion in military aid to the barbaric regime that’s causing the starvation?
The US haven’t just watched on and done nothing as Israel creates the world’s worst humanitarian disaster and the fastest rate of civilian starvation ever recorded, they actively helped Israel’s unlawful siege tactics against civilians by withdrawing funding from UNWRA based on nothing more than an unevidenced Israeli propaganda attack on the UN’s Palestine aid agency.
The US is vehemently opposed to Russia-style sanctions targeting Israel and Israeli civilians with links to Netenyahu’s genocidal regime, despite Israel’s atrocities against Palestinian civilians far surpassing Putin’s brutality in Ukraine.
A few thousand packages of aid dropped for the cameras counts for nothing when the US representative on the UN Security Council keeps raising their hand to veto international efforts to stop the genocide.
It’s clearly just a PR exercise to pretend that they’re doing something to help the Palestinian civilians they demonstrably don’t give a damn about.
It’s probably already too late for Biden to rid himself of the moniker "Genocide Joe" by doing the right thing and applying real pressure on Israel to stop the war crimes and genocide, and a vacuous aid drop PR stunt obviously won’t be enough to cut it.
Are Joe Biden and the Democrats really that intent on supporting Netenyahu’s barbaric extreme-right Israeli regime that they’ll risk handing the Presidency back to a deranged lunatic like Donald Trump?
If this absurdly insufficient aid drop is all they can come up with to cover up their genocide complicity, then sadly the answer seems like yes.
Quite awful isn’t it
As you say just a PR stunt.
