Israel is a lawless rogue state

Israel's rejection of the legitimacy of the International Court of Justice demonstrates their belief that international law simply doesn't apply to them. Therefore Israel is a lawless rogue state.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netenyahu has issued a statement saying that "Israel does not recognize the legitimacy of the proceedings of the international court in The Hague" going on to portray the proceedings are part of a Palestinian plot to prevent Israel defending itself.

It’s absolutely telling that Israel sent a delegation of lawyers to argue their case at the ICJ, but now that they’re being shown up as the genocidal colonial occupation that they are, they’re suddenly trying to argue that the court proceedings are illegitimate and that court’s rulings shouldn’t apply to them.

There’s absolutely no way they’d be trying to paint the ICJ as illegitimate if they thought they were going to win and get the charges of genocide against them dropped.

There’s no official definition for the term "rogue state" but if it doesn’t apply to states that refuse to comply with international law, then it’s essentially meaningless. So if any country is a "rogue state" it’s Israel.

South Africa’s submission to the ICJ clearly demonstrated that Israel is committing genocidal acts in Gaza, and the list of genocidal quotations from senior Israeli politicians, military personnel, and media figures (including Benjamin Netenyahu himself) made the genocidal intent of what they’re doing absolutely absolutely clear.

You can’t publicly proclaim that there’s no such thing as an innocent Palestinian; brag about how you’re going to use unlawful siege tactics to deny food, water, and energy to civilians; collectively punish civilians; target civilians and civilian infrastructure; and drive almost two million people off their land; then set about committing all of these atrocities in front of the eyes of the world; and then expect to be exonerated and given the green light to continue.

The whole reason international laws like the Geneva Conventions exist is to prevent states from inflicting this kind of barbarity.

And now that it’s becoming clear that the ICJ are highly unlikely to exonerate Israel and tell them to continue their genocidal actions, they’re brazenly saying that International law doesn’t apply to them.

This rejection of international law means they should be treated as an international pariah.

They should be subjected to an immediate international arms embargo. Their ambassadors should be expelled. Sanctions should be applied to Israel and individuals with links to the genocidal rogue regime. They should be expelled from sporting and cultural events just like Russia have been.

But this won’t happen because the US, UK, and EU continue to support their genocidal assault on Gaza, no matter how barbaric and depraved it gets.

If four months of watching Israel kill tens of thousands of civilians; torture and humiliate prisoners; attack schools and hospitals; loot civilian homes; headhunt prominent Palestinian medics and journalists; demolish ancient mosques, churches, and graveyards; shoot people carrying white flags; displace almost two million civilians and then bomb the "safe zones" they told them to evacuate to; and gleefully revel in all of these atrocities isn’t enough to make the US, UK, and EU change their stance, Israel’s declaration that they’re above international law obviously won’t be either.

Israel is quite clearly a lawless rogue state, and that means that the countries that continue to assist their genocide (supplying them with arms, cutting funding to the relief effort for starving and displaced Palestinians, refusing to apply sanctions or other forms of diplomatic pressure …) are the real "Axis of Evil".
