Fucking hell. Will the record never change? It’s like we’re stuck in that Black Mirror episode (White Christmas?) listening to the same shit song over and over again and we’re trapped forever no matter what we do.

I know we've been pointing this out for years, but that doesn't make it any less true, or make Starmer's dishonesty any less galling. Thank you for articulating so clearly just why what he's doing is so wrong.

Another spot on, well researched post. Starmer is a disgrace and not fit to lead a workers party. I'm afraid with all the stitching up of internal processes, the Labour party is a busted flush. Fuck them.

I can't fault the conclusion that this is a hypocritical stance for the PM to take which leaves no clear water between him and his Tory predecessors. There is a need to address the tax avoidance industry in Britain as well as establish what constitutes poverty support and subsidising wages isn't the answer. I don't know what is the answer but then I haven't been elected to high office. Austerity 2.0 will kill off this government for sure so some boldness is required on the part of the Labour leadership.

The irony of Starmer's Labour Party Manifesto having CHANGE on the front in big letters. Should have said "More of the same but worse".

Starmer knows exactly what he's doing. Given the party he leads and what it used to stand for, given the lies he spewed to get in the position, I think we can honestly say he is a worse human being than Johnson, Sunak, Truss, and Braverman in total. I cannot really think of anyone lower on the human scale (at least Trump mostly says what he really thinks). I think there are two options he is considering, both with the same goal in mind: 1) he'll attract enough right-wingers, and stupid liberals to get re-elected and finalize the move to fascism, or 2) his intent is to destroy the left and all progressive movements and prepare the ground work for Reform to finalize the move to fascism. In any event, objectively, he's a fascist.

Well said.

They make a mockery of us all, prodding us to lose our sh!t over pennies, so they can go unnoticed while looting the public purse for TRILLIONS: They shovel millions into their own pockets, billions into the pockets of their sponsors, and trillions into the military industry, for wars of racist aggression (literally burning money, just to CREATE enemies).

But it's those pennies we're supposed to be furious about.

We're conditioned to expect a tragic opera, on demand, in return for THOSE pennies, and we're meant to see red at the mere suspicion that any of "the poors" aren't confined to the deepest of misery, 100% of the time.
