A look into the reasons people say they're voting Labour shows that despite heading for a landslide win, Keir Starmer actually has an extremely weak supporter base.
I'm in North West cambs, MP Valesh is still popular around here. It will be interesting to see if people would vote for the young Labortory that would replace him.
So, what do we do, im voting Independent personally, the party sytem is part of the problem, MPs often coerced into voting against their own conscience, due to the party whip. And dont get me started on FPTP, which allows this undemocratic charade to happen
The alternative is worse. We need a change. Those are the same overwhelming reasons so many people voted for Biden in 2020. We can see where he stands in the public eye now.
Upgraded just for the reliable and very well researched info which is greatly appreciated. The right will always use their power to stifle this so I hope the wealthier left support you where ever they can. I fully appreciate the emotional distress so keep taking the breaks but glad you’re able to keep coming back again to take on the relentless endless amounts of money and power of the capitalist machine… Please keep it up!!
I don’t post or support often and it’s not much but I’d rather give it to you to keep fighting the cause for my quiet voice and thoughts than anything else. Yours truly… a proper skint social care worker.
It's now 5 July; + some enterprising British left faction should be holding a public funeral, complete with mockup coffin, for "tactical voting", as it's done and dusted.
Now it's new left party time; who's got the first platform draft?
I am not sure how well this would go over with Brits either: Having Starmer and Labour hire a former Israeli intelligence agent to spy on an electoral reform group in the UK. https://theleftlane2024.substack.com/p/a-former-israeli-intelligence-officer
