You forgot to mention that the reason why the government has a black hole in its finances was the last conservative government!

No-one seriously believes that this 'blackhole' wasn't known about by Labour before taking office. In fact it's quite likely it doesn't exist (at least not in the form Labour claim). Why is that important? Because what's actually happening is Labour preparing the ground for continued austerity. Tragic.

They knew, the hole's insignificant in the UK economy and there is excellent expert advice on a much better way to go forward than this neoliberal, ignorant crew is pursuing.

Those of us who have small private pensions to top up our state pension are at risk as we can claim nothing, were as if you only have a state pension top ups and other benefits are available.

What's interesting here is the fact that 348 Labour MP's also don't give a tuppence f88k about the pensioners either and will quite willingly throw them under the bus rather than risk their careers. Only the decent ones abstained. Did anyone Labour vote against? I bet Jeremy Corbyn voted against.

There's nothing decent in abstaining to vote. They too were not willing to risk their career. The only Labour MP to vote against was Jon Trickett (and those who have had the whip removed for voting against the 2 child benefit cap and are currently classed as Independent)

There is also no legal requirement to plug the “black hole” on the backs of pensioners, but he did it anyway.

Starmer doesn't want to change anything, he's bought and paid for so will keep everything just how it is for his masters.

Sounds like the CEOs of the energy companies need their faces plastered upon every spare ad space that can be found by a nationwide network of "Pensioners' Councils". Along with the amount of money they're buying Starmer's party with.

"No legal requirement" should be put in the bank to weaponize against all agents of the Starmer regime going forward.

Rachel Reeves was Shadow works and pension minister back in 2014 and The National (a Scottish newspaper) found video of her saying that Labour would means test Winter Fuel Payment when giving a speech in parliament back then. So has nothing to do with any current Tory spending black hole, which has nothing anyway to do with Labour as Labour's spending is not told til October 30 Budget. www.over50sparty.org.uk

The lack of an impact assessment says "I don't care how this will affect people, as long as we save a measly few millions (in the short run - but we won't take any excess health costs into account). It actually shows us the work of an inhuman monster - with no thought at all for others, except perhaps exchange rate traders. More and more despicable, as his wife floozies around in the pricey new clothes she has been given.......What an appalling couple!
