Well, first you need to consider that you are talking about a couple of hundred (around 244) trans people in UK prisons versus several thousand men in prison. Also "A greater proportion of transwomen in prison have been convicted of sex offences than other men" does not mean the majority of trans women are sex offenders.

Itโs such an overused, numbingly cliched dogwhistle. Trans people have all the human rights everyone else has - access to women only spaces is not a human right - it's a demand. A demand that now comes with legal punishment for those who have every right to disagree - a demand that carries its own blasphemy laws. I know of no one wishing trans people ill - a line is drawn where people, mostly women, lose their jobs and livelihoods for standing up for their hard won sex based rights.
