As chaotic and ill-planned as it seems, I think Starmer and Streeting do have a very well-thought out plan:

April 2025 "we need user fees to cut abuse of the health service";

May 2025 "we need to increase user fees and cut unnecessary use of the health service";

Pick a month 2026 "we are introducing an insurance purchase plan for all UK citizens";

Pick a month 2027 "we are selling our hospitals and infrastructure to the private sector who can provide more efficient service through our insurance plan";

Pick a month 2028 (pre-election); "we are selling our insurance plan to the private sector.

Nobody wants a privatised NHS but this is obviously their intention the contracts are probably already being written and as we can see with Kim Leadbeaters assisted dying bill the safeguards and checks and balances will not safeguard the public. In fact I would not be surprised to see the NHS privatisation and assisted dying bill rolled into one contract.

If you can't afford the treatment there will always be an alternative.....

Whilst there are contradictions with the past statements, it doesn't necessarily follow that there is no plan. More importantly, is abolishing NHS England a good thing - you don't mention that at all.

NHS England was set up in 2013 by a Tory Government to encourage privatisation of the NHS. So I don't know why you are opposing its abolition.

Just another mindless rant I suppose.

In Scotland - NHS, dentists and housing over run with foreigners. 25 be Houses built in my village 12 went to Immigrants. Of those 12, 4 have their rent paid by universal credit and have told the council the parents have split up while the whole family still lives together. Immigrants have priority in everything

Non off national insurance system was set up as free for all it was strictly monitored, people were helped to get work, (which jobcentres don't do anymore) and training, I was offered retraining in 1981? I aggree we should help and support each other but benefits without community, training, education and social support has just created a dependency, I think the Left have to look at this objectively not like hippies. My concern with unlimited immigration is it's effect on the environmental, population density comparing Britain to France, France 124.4 Britain 280.6 surely as a planet we need to cooperate to stop imperialist wars and regenerate the planet?

Ridiculous article.

Labour haven't had 14 years to plan. Keir Starmer wasn't in Parliament 14 years ago. 14 years ago in May Gordon Brown resigned as leader and was replaced by Ed Miliband who resigned in 2015 to be replaced by the Corbyn aberration which destroyed anything sensible.

Keir Starmer became leader in 2020 just as the Covid pandemic struck and Labour had to deal with Corbyn's antisemitism scandal. Labour have had two years of planning for an election.

NHSE was created by Andrew Lansley to remove responsibility from ministers for privatisation. It has been an unmitigated disaster.

In 2029 we will be better able to judge the success or failure of the Labour Government. Given the hand the #corruptCONservatives dealt them and the Russian conquest of the USA I don't envy them.

After labour capped child benifit under Tony Blair it became increasingly hard to differentiate the two parties. Both have shown an incredible lack of real world experience and both plundered the pension funds.

Google:

In 2023, the UK saw a record 750,000 new immigrants, a 52.9% increase from the previous year, marking the highest growth rate in permanent migration among OECD countries

Both continue the same policies to cut costs sending the proceeds foreign wars

Nonsense. Labour have increased public spending by £70bn. They are working to reduce the dependence on immigration which increased massively after Brexshit.

The country is in a dire state after 14years of #corruptCONservatives but Labour will rebuild as they have done every time in government.

Your critique of political improvisation resonates with concerns I raised in my article, 'Why Do We Elect People Who Won’t Face the Consequences?'. I explore how short-term decision-making undermines future societal stability.
